Beth Lang Biography

Alpenz Solutions - Beth Lang Biography

Insurance has always been part of my story. Growing up in Glastonbury, Connecticut—just outside Hartford, the Insurance Capital of the World—gave me an early appreciation for the industry. My career began as an IT Programmer at Aetna, but in 2018, after my mother suffered a stroke, I found my true calling and launched a second career as an Independent Insurance Agent. That experience showed me firsthand how profoundly insurance impacts older adults and their families, and it continues to guide my work today.

While I like to joke that my dream job would be pouring Dole Whips in Adventureland at Disney World, my real passion lies in educating, guiding, and supporting individuals as they make healthcare decisions. I take pride in listening closely, explaining clearly, and helping clients feel confident in their choices.

Though originally from Connecticut, I’ve called Richmond, Virginia home since 1993, after meaningful chapters in Ohio and New York. I’m a proud mom of one and an enthusiastic sports fan—cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, Dayton Flyers, and (in spirit) the Hartford Whalers.

Volunteering is a cornerstone of my life. For more than 30 years, I’ve been involved with the Girl Scouts—once a Scout, always a Scout. I also serve as a Tour Guide at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, support students through Cinderella Dreams, and usher at the Altria Theater. One of the most humbling experiences each year is traveling with U.S. Veterans to Washington, D.C. on Honor Flight—a powerful reminder of service and sacrifice.

Outside of work and volunteering, I recharge with books (nearly 100 a year), yoga, and time in my Spanish-style backyard garden—tea or coffee in hand—while my cats explore their Catatio.
